HYBRID (Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays)
Our Hybrid program is designed to develop well-rounded, strong, fast, and conditioned athletes. Each 60-minute session includes about 30 minutes of functional bodybuilding, focusing on controlled strength training that enhances muscle development, mobility, and durability.
Following the strength section, athletes transition into a conditioning segment with varied, high-intensity workouts lasting 10 to 30+ minutes. These sessions challenge you with a broad range of movements, loads, and time domains.
This training is perfect for people from all walks of life, but it’s also an outstanding way to prepare for HYROX competitions. At DEFCON Athletics, our athletes regularly participate in HYROX events. Think of it like a CrossFit-style workout—without the heavy Olympic lifts—delivering functional, accessible training that still drives elite-level fitness.
All workouts are fully scalable, from beginners to advanced athletes. Fridays feature a partner workout for added variety, teamwork, and community energy.

HYROX is a global fitness race combining functional exercises with running. Yes—we design workouts that prepare you for HYROX-style challenges, and several of our athletes compete in events each year.

You’ll gain lean muscle and improve strength while keeping body fat in check. The mix of strength and conditioning builds an athletic, functional physique.
What if I have old injuries?
We work around them. Our coaches modify movements and loads so you can train effectively without aggravating past issues.
